The Diamond Phoenix are currently recruiting for the beginning of the 2011-2012 season. If you feel like giving this great sport a go, please take a look at the
training times and come down to the Southern Cross Yacht club at a time that suits you. [view location map]
New members can start any time during the year.
If you are interested in joining you can sign up as a temporary member for three free sessions, and then sign up as a member. Membership fees cover all equipment use (including boat and paddle use) and insurance for a year.
We care about the health and safety of our
members/prospective members.
If you are pregnant, have been
previously inactive, or suffer from any medical conditions it is recommended
that you seek medical advice before commencing vigorous physical activity. You
should be aware that dragon boating is a water-based sport and there is a risk
of serious injury or death from participating in the sport of dragon boating. If
you are willing to accept this then you participate completely at your own risk,
and you agree to hold harmless the CDBA and its registered members from
liability. You agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations set by the Canberra
Dragon Boat Association Inc. We suggest that members/prospective members
familiarise themselves with the safety guidelines and rules and regulations of
the CDBA, available on the CDBA website.
